Luis Antonio Arroyo, 39, charged with capital murder

SAN ANTONIO – A 39-year-old man wanted for a brutal attack that left two people dead and a third critical has been arrested.

Police on Sunday morning arrested Luis Antonio "Tony" Arroyo and have now charged him with capital murder.

They said Arroyo shot Rodney Spring to death and then attacked 36 year-old Quikether Jackson and another woman Thursday night at a home in the 3800 block of Sherril Brook.

The medical examiner confirmed Sunday morning that Jackson died from wounds she suffered in the bloody assault.

Police arrested Arroyo at an apartment complex in the 7600 block of Callaghan Road.

They said detectives tracked Arroyo there, and officers and the SWAT team closed in and apprehended him just before 9 a.m. Sunday.
