SAN ANTONIO – A man shot twice by teenagers drove himself to a relative's house where he called for help, San Antonio police said Monday.
The incident occurred around 12:40 a.m. in the 100 block of Azucena Street near Esmeralda Drive and West Commerce Street on the city's West Side.
Police said the victim, a man in his 40s, was talking to a group of teens, when for some reason they turned on him, shooting him twice.
The man despite being shot, was able to drive himself to his brother's house for help. Police said when they arrived the victim was not cooperative.
Police are working to determine why the teens would shoot the man.
The victim was taken to University Hospital for his injures.
He is expected to recover.
