Police investigating double shooting on East Side

Victims drove to Northeast Baptist Hospital Monday

SAN ANTONIO – 2 men drove to a nearby hospital after their vehicle was peppered with bullets early Monday morning,  San Antonio police said.

The shooting took place just before 3 a.m. on Interstate 35 and North Walters on the city's East Side.

Police said the victims told them at the hospital that a car first rear ended them before someone started firing shots at their vehicle, hitting them both in the backside.

The men drove themselves to Northeast Baptist Hospital located on Village Drive. Police found the vehicle in the parking lot with broken windows and riddled with bullets.

The men's wounds were not life-threatening, police said.

Police did not release any information regarding the shooters responsible.

The investigation is ongoing.
