Charges dropped after man accused of spending $6,000 at Apple store with stolen credit card

Charges dropped against Servando Perales Jr.

SAN ANTONIO – Servando Perales Jr., 41, was arrested as a result of a Crime Stoppers tip received by San Antonio police about a stolen credit card case.

Those charges were later dropped for lack of sufficient evidence.

Perales was accused of using a stolen card to buy about $6,100 worth of items at an Apple store last October, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

The affidavit said the purchases were made within an hour of the time when the credit card was stolen. The owner of the card reported that it was taken during a car break-in.

At the time of publication, there was not word from police if they have a new suspect in relation to the original stolen credit card.
