Fire at HEB snack plant evacuates employees
Fire was reported just before midnight
SAN ANTONIO – A small fire broke out at a local HEB snack plant on the city's Northeast Side overnight, authorities said Friday.
The fire was reported just before midnight in the 5300 block of Rittiman Road not far from Gibbs-Sprawl Road.
Firefighters at the scene said the fire was contained to the smoke stack of the plant.
Employees were evacuated before firefighters arrived.
No one was hurt.
An investigation into the fire is ongoing.
