CONVERSE, Texas – Two people were sent to the hospital Monday morning following a mobile home fire in Converse.
The fire was reported around 7:30 a.m. in the 7600 block of Upper Seguin Road, found not far from Coers Boulevard and Brucks Drive.
Firefighters said a double-wide trailer caught fire in the area of the kitchen. Two people were inside the home at the time of the fire, and they were taken to University Hospital with smoke inhalation and minor burns.
Two cats however were lost as a result.
The cost of the damage is estimated to be at $50,000.
The Fire Marshal is working to determine the cause of the fire. At this time, it is not presently known.
