SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police have arrested a man they say was involved in a fatal shooting and home invasion on the city's West Side.
Frank Gamez, 29, is presently being held without bond on a capital murder charge.
Gamez is accused of being involved in a deadly robbery attempt back on Aug. 5.
Police said Gamez stormed a home with three others in the 100 block of South San Eduardo and stole cash before fatally shooting Enrique Gutierrez Sr. as well as wounding one other person.
SAPD has also identified two other suspects, Juan Almendarez and Alejandro Almendarez-Hurtado, in the case.
Juan Almendarez was arrested on Aug. 6 and is now facing a capital murder charge. San Antonio police has issued a capital murder warrant for Almendarez-Hurtado, who is still at large.
San Antonio police are searching for a suspect in connection with the murder of Enrique Gutierrez Sr., who was shot along with another victim at a house on 126 South San Eduardo on Aug. 5.
Police are looking for Frank Gamez, 29. They previously identified two other suspects, Juan Almendarez and Alejandro Almendarez-Hurtado, involved in the home invasion and shooting on South San Eduardo.
Almendarez was arrested on Aug. 6 and is facing a capital murder charge. San Antonio police issued a capital murder warrant for Almendarez-Hurtado, who is still at large.
Police said four men entered the home with the intent of robbing the residents inside. After taking some cash, the suspects shot Gutierrez and another victim and then fled. Gutierrez later died.
Police have not released any information about the other suspect.
