SAN MARCOS, Texas – A teenager is in the hospital after being shot in the head at a San Marcos apartment complex late Saturday night, San Marcos Police said.
The shooting was reported around 11 p.m. at the Townwood Apartments, found in the 500 block of Linda Lane.

Police said witnesses told them that Jose Tarango, 18, was dropped off by friends before being found injured on the first floor of the apartment complex breezeway. The witnesses said they heard gunshots.
Police said his friends put him in the car and drove him to a McDonald's restaurant where emergency crews arrived. He was taken to University Medical Center Brackenridge in Austin in critical condition.
The shooters are described as a short, Hispanic man and a taller, African-American man, both wearing grey hoodies and ski masks.
