Woman arrested for paying with stolen, forged check, police say

SAN ANTONIO – An attempt to bail someone out of jail went terribly wrong. Police said Margaret York’s $675 check came back as stolen and forged.

Police said that the check York allegedly wrote to Mr. Jones Bail Bond was stolen during a home burglary.

Witnesses later identified York in a photo lineup. She was arrested and charged with robbery.
