Fatal 1993 fight still mystery to SAPD

Paul Berna Quinters stabbed to death by stranger

SAN ANTONIO – An argument in a bar's parking lot 20 years ago turned deadly fast. The assailants have managed to avoid arrest since the crime happened.

On Dec. 4, 1993, San Antonio police said Paul Bernard Quinters was walking with a friend across the parking lot of Bronco Bill's Night Club on the 8500 block of Broadway.

Police said Quinters and his friend got into an argument with a man and a woman. The man pulled out a knife and stabbed Quinters several times.

Quinters died on the way to a hospital.

The attackers left in a 1978-1985 station wagon. It was light yellow with simulated wood grain panels on each side.

SAPD's Cold Case Squad is still investigating the death. If you have any information, call 210-207-7635.
