SAN ANTONIO – An 87-year-old man died at a hospital after a teenage driver struck him in a Northwest Side parking lot, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
The crash happened Monday morning in the 5200 block of Medical Drive, near Babcock Road.

Police said the man had just left a routine follow-up appointment when he was hit.
The driver was looking for a parking spot and did not see the man walking through the lot, according to SAPD.
The man was initially taken to a hospital in critical condition. SAPD later said he was pronounced dead.
SAPD said the teen stayed at the scene.
Additional information was not immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
