VIA offers park and ride service to Royal Rumble

SAN ANTONIO – VIA Metropolitan Transit will offer park and ride service to the WWE Royal Rumble at the Alamodome on Sunday.

The service will be available from the Crossroads Park & Ride at 151 Crossroads Blvd. and the Madla Transit Center at 1584 Cantrell Drive.

Service begins at 3:30 p.m., and return service continues until one hour after the event concludes.

The fare is $2.50 each way with discounted fares available for children, seniors, students and active-duty members of the military.

Cash and credit cards are accepted at park and ride locations. VIAtrans customers and children under age 5 ride free. VIA bus passes are not valid for this service.

In addition to the park & ride service, VIA Primo (100) and VIVA centro (301) will be detoured to serve the Robert Thompson Transit Center at the Alamodome beginning at 3:30 p.m. and continuing for one hour after the event. The regular bus fare of $1.30 will apply. Day passes are available on the bus for $2.75 and are good for unlimited rides on the day of activation. VIA bus passes will be accepted for trips on Prímo and VIVA centro.
