Prisoners rioting at Kinney County jail No description found
BRACKETTVILLE, Texas – A South Texas jail riot has been going on for more than three hours.
The Kinney County Sheriff’s Office said prisoners had been rioting since 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. The jail is located in Brackettville, and the Sheriff’s Office said deputies have set up a perimeter around it.
Officials said prisoners are confined to one main area. No injuries have been reported.
The jail’s capacity is listed as 416 people.
The Sheriff’s Office did not say what started the riot.
