Crews extinguish fire at Sonic in Lytle

LYTLE, Texas – Sonic employees in Lytle evacuated as firefighters put out a fire at the fast food restaurant.

The fire started about 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Police said firefighters responded in a matter of minutes and were able to stop the fire from spreading.

“They did put it out pretty fast. We can tell from the outside,” said Sgt. Mark Montgomery, with the Lytle Police Department.

The cause of the fire is still unknown. There is still no estimate on the damage, but police said it was contained to a backroom and walk-in cooler.
