Most Wanted fugitive captured in Laredo

LAREDO, Texas – A fugitive wanted in connection to a woman's homicide is no longer on the run after he was captured in Laredo on Thursday.

Robert van Wisse was wanted in connection to the slaying of a woman in Austin in 1993. He was added to the FBI’s 10 Most Wanted Fugitives in December.

Investigators said van Wisse sexually assaulted and strangled 22-year-old Laurie Stout on the University of Texas campus.

A press conference will be held Friday morning in Austin to reveal more about the case.
