SAN ANTONIO – A third capital murder suspect has been arrested in connection with a man found dead in his own car trunk in Universal City.
Garick Clayton, 31, allegedly admitted his role in the robbery and shooting of Martin Gonzalez.
An arrest affidavit states Clayton admitted coming up with the plan to rob Gonzalez, along with previously arrested Ashton Lomas and one other man.
Meagan Cantu was arrested in the case on Friday in San Antonio. Police said she connected the three men to Gonzalez and actively helped plan the robbery that happened Jan. 29.
Gonzalez was robbed, beaten and shot in the head at a home in Converse prior to his body being wrapped and place in the trunk of his own car. That car was found Feb. 7 in Universal City.
It is believed a fourth suspect is involved in the death on Gonzalez. Police continue looking for him.
