Informational kiosks coming to downtown County Commissioners purchase six kiosks No description found
SAN ANTONIO – More interactive kiosks are set to be put in place around downtown San Antonio.
That was the news Thursday, as Bexar County Commissioners purchased six new Wi-Fi enabled touch-screen kiosks.
The goal is to enhance the experience for people who visit downtown.
Judge Nelson Wolff said the technology is crucial if San Antonio wants to stay a competitive city for tech jobs.
"If you look across the nation, the cities with talent when it comes to technology and every company is embedded today are cities that are going to prosper,” he said. “Now we've been behind the curve, but we're fast catching up."
The kiosks will have information on exhibits and events across the county and points of interest like our world heritage sites.
They should be installed and fully operational by the end of August.
