Train carrying coal derails on south side, SAFD says no injuries

Train derailed in 7800 block of South Presa


SAN ANTONIO – A train carrying a load of coal derailed on the city's south side Sunday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the 7800 block of South Presa Street around 4:30 p.m. for the derailment. Firefighters said no one was injured and that the materials being carried in the train carts are not hazardous.
