San Antonio officers honored for their help after 2016 Dallas ambush

SAN ANTONIO – More than 30 San Antonio police officers were honored Tuesday for helping the Dallas Police Department during last year's deadly ambush in which five Dallas officers were killed.

San Antonio officers were sent to Dallas to help in the aftermath.

On Tuesday, each of those officers received a certificate of merit from the Dallas Police Department.

San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said all departments are like family and he's happy his department helped in a time of need.
