SAN ANTONIO – A limo fire Saturday afternoon led to the downtown evacuation of a quinceñera and her court.

The driver of the hot pink limo, Karen Wilkinson, said she was stopped at a red light near Dolorosa and Santa Rosa Avenue when someone came knocking on the door. She said a man told her there were flames under the car.

Wilkinson was able to put the fire out and everyone made it out safely, including the birthday girl.

The group of teenage passengers practiced their Waltz for the party while they waited for another limo.

While there was a delay, the party was not canceled, and another pink limo picked up the teens.
