Suspect breaking into suburban shot by owner, police say Shooting occurred just before 3 a.m. at Veranda Apartments
SAN ANTONIO – One man has been hospitalized and another questioned following a shooting early Tuesday on the city's North Side, San Antonio police said.
According to police, just before 3 a.m. a man was shot while trying to break into a Chevy Suburban in the parking lot of the Veranda Apartments located on Jones Maltsberger Road near Sandalwood Road.
The owner of the vehicle shot the suspect one time hitting him in the lower back, police said. The suspect then drove his own car to a Walmart located nearby.
