Man shot, robbed in Northeast side apartment after Instagram invite

3 suspects in late teens, early 20s at large

SAN ANTONIO – A man was shot in the abdomen Sunday afternoon after a group of men robbed him in his Northeast side apartment.

Authorities said the victim was at his apartment with two other people when a mutual friend messaged them on Instagram and asked if he could come over and hang out with them.

When the mutual friend arrived at the victim's apartment at the Saddlewood Apartment complex, he came with two other men the victim didn't know.

One of the men pulled out a gun and demanded property from the victim and two other people in the apartment and an argument ensued.

The victim was shot in the abdomen during the argument and the men stole some of the victim's things.

Police didn't say what was taken from the house, but mentioned that they found drug paraphernalia in the home.

Police are looking for three suspects in their late teens or early 20s wearing black hoodies.

The victim, also in his late teens or early 20s, was taken to University Hospital and is expected to survive.

Authorities said the incident isn't related to a double shooting that happened on Friday. That shooting left one woman dead and sent a man to the hospital.
