Police said his head was infested with lice and he was so thin that most of his bones were visible through his skin.

Alonzo suffered from cerebral palsy and another brain defect.

The medical examiner's office ruled Alonzo's death a homicide.

Officials said the cause of death was malnutrition and dehydration, adding that he weighed only 38 pounds at the time.

An arrest affidavit says Munoz knew about the lice infestation but didn't do anything to treat it.
