SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police say a man is expected to be charged with murder after stabbing and killing his ex-girlfriend’s current love interest early Monday morning.

They say the suspect, who is in his 50s, showed up, uninvited, to their room at the WinnQuest Inn, located in the 3500 block of Eisenhauer  Road.

At some point, the two men stepped out to the parking lot, then the stabbing happened, police say.

They say the 39-year-old victim managed to run back into his room where he collapsed.

When officers arrived shortly before 12:30 a.m., they found the victim dead from his wounds.

They also found the suspect still at the scene and took him into custody.

The woman told police her ex also punched her in the face after stabbing the other man.
