Big rig crash on I-35 leaves one semi on top of the other

SAN ANTONIO – Authorities are working to get a person out from under a semi-truck after a crash left one 18-wheeler on top of the other.

First responders were called to the area of I-35 and Somerset just after 9 p.m. for the crash. When they arrived, they found that one semi-truck driver had somehow run over the other big rig.

A sergeant at the scene said two people were taken to area hospitals and that a third who was trapped under the big rig was presumed dead.

Hazmat crews were also called out to the scene. It's unclear what the trailers were carrying.
