"He loved us, and we loved him, we loved him a lot," said Bosmans.

Police say Nicholas Bosmans, 37, was shot and killed over the weekend during an apparent road-rage incident on the city's south side.

Investigators said Nicholas was the driver inside a Jeep that crashed in a parking lot in the 2700 block of Southeast Military Drive.

They said the people in the Jeep and a gold vehicle got into some type of altercation and shots were fired. His grandfather said Nicholas had a temper, but nothing that justified ending his life like this.

"He was argumentative, he would argue, he would lose his temper. I never saw fault in him," said Bosmans.

Nicholas died at San Anotnio Military Medical Center from one gunshot wound to his side.

"There's no way anyone could have saved him," said Bosmans.

While police continue to search for the people inside the gold vehicle, Bosmans deals with the pain of his grandson's death and hopes the killer is caught soon.

"They caused a lot of sorrow to me, but if they get caught, they're going to raise a lot of sorrow to their parents," said Bosmans.

Police still need your help in finding the shooter. If you have any information, you're asked to call San Antonio police immediately.
