SAN ANTONIO - The family of a 25-year-old woman whose body disappeared from a funeral home has filed a lawsuit against the business.

A lawsuit filed Jan. 13 at the Bexar County Courthouse by Timothy, Sharlotte and Jonathan Mott, the parents and brother of Julie Mott, seeks more than $1 million in damages.

The lawsuit said the Motts blame Mission Park Funeral Chapels and Cemeteries for "negligent conduct" and "gross negligence."

According to the lawsuit, the funeral home lost possession of Julie Mott's body after a memorial service on Aug. 15 and has been "unable to explain how they lost the body."

Mott's body has yet to be found.
