Woman hospitalized after shooting on West Side, San Antonio police say

Police say victim expected to recover following shooting at Aragon Place Apartments

SAN ANTONIO – A woman was shot one time during an argument at a West Side apartment complex, San Antonio police said Tuesday.

The shooting happened in the 7200 block of Marbach Road at the Aragon Place Apartments.

Police said a man approached a group of people in one of the units which ended in an argument. During the confrontation, a woman in her late 20s was shot once in the shoulder.

Police are unsure of the motive, but said based on preliminary info, that it was not a domestic disturbance.

The woman was taken to University Hospital and is expected to recover.

According to police, the woman said she and the man met online through Facebook.
