Man arrested in connection with robbery at Northeast Side auto parts store, records show

Crime Stoppers report led to man’s arrest, affidavit states

SAN ANTONIO – A suspect seen in a Crime Stoppers bulletin about a robbery at a Northeast Side auto parts store has been apprehended, according to San Antonio police.

Mark Anthony Palomino, 34, was arrested Tuesday and charged with robbery for the incident on March 22, records with the Bexar County Jail show.

Police said on that day, Palomino walked into O’Reilly Auto Parts in the 1500 block of Austin Highway, grabbed merchandise, and attempted to leave the store without paying.

When a store manager approached him, Palomino threatened to shoot him, an arrest warrant affidavit states. Palomino did not display a gun.

Surveillance footage was shown in a Crime Stoppers report released later that month.

The affidavit states that police received a tip that identified Palomino as the suspect. The store manager was able to identify Palomino in a photo lineup, investigators said.

Records show his bond was set at $20,000.
