SAN ANTONIO – The Texas Hill Country is one of the most popular wine regions in the U.S.
Texas grapes attract visitors from across the country and, according to Yahoo, the Lone Star state is the tenth most visited wine region in the world.
The wine industry contributes more than $1.8 billion to the Texas economy each year, according to the Texas Department of Agriculture.
“More than 1.5 million tourists flock to our wineries each year,” said Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller. “Texas wineries are a special part of the Lone Star State, and they represent the perfect blend of agriculture and tourism.”
