SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio firefighters are working to determine the cause of a commercial structure fire on the city’s North Side early Tuesday morning.
The fire was called in around 4:15 a.m. in the 5080 block of Blanco Road, not far from Basse Road.

Firefighters said when they arrived, they found smoke coming from the building. Firefighters had to cut away a side door to make entry and they quickly knocked down the fire.
The exact cause of the fire is still under investigation. There was minimal fire damage to the building, but it has significant smoke damage, fire officials said.
Both the San Antonio Fire Department and San Antonio Police Department answered the call. There are no reports of injuries.
A damage estimate to the building was not given.
