Man dies from gunshot wound after being shot at Leon Valley apartment complex, police say

SAN ANTONIO – A suspect was arrested in the shooting death of a man outside a Leon Valley apartment complex last month, according to police.

Booking records with the Bexar County Jail show Kenith Harden, 54, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with murder.

He is accused of shooting Darion Tremer Dixon, 49, on April 28 at the Vista Del Rey apartment complex in the 5600 block of Evers Road.

An arrest warrant affidavit states that when officers arrived, they found Dixon on a sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his stomach.

He identified the shooter as “Kenny,” the affidavit states. Dixon later died from his injuries.

The affidavit states that witnesses identified the shooter as Dixon. A motive was not released in the affidavit.

His bond is set at $200,000, records show.
