SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio’s East Side will soon welcome a Royal Blue Grocery shop later this year.

The modern urban market is a unique twist on the classic grocery store. It will provide customers with a curated collection of meals, drinks, and snacks.

The compact grocery shop first opened its doors in 2006 in Austin. There are now six Royal Blue Grocery stores in Downtown Austin and one in San Antonio.

“Royal Blue provides quality goods, excellent service, and a communal space where all are welcome,” said Co-Owner Chris Provost. “Each Royal Blue is different from the next, tailored specifically for the neighborhood it serves and the people who visit daily.”

The new East Side location will include an espresso bar, sandwiches, pizza, groceries, beer & wine, and snacks.

“San Antonio’s east side was a great fit because the neighborhood doesn’t have a convenient grocery shop,” said Provost. “In the back of the building will be a commissary kitchen where we will make salads, sandwiches, side dishes, and tacos.”
