SAN ANTONIO – A man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman with a bat after starting a fight at a San Antonio convenience store, according to jail records.

An arrest warrant affidavit states that on July 27, Ramirez showed up at an undisclosed store and saw his girlfriend’s ex-girlfriend.

He “tried to start a fight” with the woman, police said, and then he went to his car to grab a baseball bat.

Police said he went back into the store and assaulted the victim, hitting her in the head, arms and other places on her body.

The woman suffered a cut on her head and bruises throughout her body, the affidavit states.

The warrant for his arrest was signed that same day, but records show he was booked late Monday. He is also accused of theft and assault bodily injury-married from different incidents, records show.
