A new sushi restaurant will open near the Pearl

A new sushi restaurant will open near the Pearl (Carpenter Carpenter Hospitality)

SAN ANTONIO – The husband and wife team that generated Little Em’s Oyster Bar, Claudine, Go Fish Market, and Up Scale is cooking up another concept, this one featuring Japanese dishes.

Emily and Houston Carpenter’s new eatery, Nineteen Hyaku, is expected to open near the Pearl by fall 2023.

The restaurant will be located at 1900 Broadway on the ground floor.

Cocktails, beer, wine, Japanese sakes, and sushi will be offered on the menu.

Construction is taking place right now, and the company is looking to hire a sushi chef team, according to its Instagram.

“We are looking for a team of intention and purpose, a team wanting to be a part of something exciting and conversation-changing,” a post said.
