Man stabbed in downtown church courtyard, San Antonio police say

Attacker fled, not located at this time

SAN ANTONIO – A man in his 20s is hospitalized after being stabbed at a church in the downtown area, according to San Antonio police.

The stabbing was reported Monday afternoon in the courtyard that is part of the Grace Lutheran Church in the 500 block of Ave. E.

Police said the stabbing victim and the attacker were both getting food at the church before the incident ensued near witnesses.

After the stabbing, the attacker fled the location on foot. It’s unclear where he went.
