UTSA initially said the facility would be completed by November 2026. However, details from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation show a completion date of Aug. 31, 2026.

The facility, called Roadrunner Nurturing Elite Sports Talent, originally had a price tag of $35 million, but the department now estimates the cost at $27.5 million.

The City of San Antonio and Bexar County each contributed $5 million toward the project. The UT System Board of Regents documents show that additional funding comes from bond proceeds and designated funds.

The facility will feature two full-sized practice courts, locker rooms, a team lounge for each program, a weight room, a hydrotherapy space, team meeting rooms and coaching offices.

It is expected to cover more than 52,500 square feet, according to the department.
