Motorcyclist injured in hit-and-run crash near Stevens HS, SAPD says

SAN ANTONIO – A motorcyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash on the West Side, not far from Stevens High School, early Friday morning, according to San Antonio police.

The crash happened on eastbound Potranco Road near the intersection with Dugas Road just before 6:00 a.m. Friday.

SAPD believes a driver in a white work truck possibly ran a nearby red light and hit a 33-year-old man on a motorcycle.

The vehicle fled from the scene and, if found, faces a charge for failing to stop and render aid.

Police said the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The eastbound lanes of Potranco Road going toward Highway 151 are closed as SAPD investigates, an officer at the scene said.
