Man found competent to stand trial in 2024 murder of Stacy Dramiga A trial date has not yet been scheduled for Samuel Aquim Charon
SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio man accused of killing a woman walking on the Salado Creek Greenway in 2024 was found competent to stand trial.
Samuel Aquim Charon was charged with capital murder a year after Stacey Dramiga was found dead at Dafoste Park on Sept. 23, 2024.
DNA at the crime scene matched Charon, who lived near the area where Dramiga was found, according to police.
A report presented in court Monday revealed Charon is competent to stand trial. A trial date has not yet been scheduled.
It is also unclear whether the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office will pursue the death penalty in the case.
