SAN ANTONIO – A man is expected to recover after San Antonio police said he was shot in the leg during an encounter with two men just south of downtown.
The shooting happened near 3 a.m. Monday in the 300 block of McKinley Avenue, not far from Roosevelt and Steves Avenues.

Police said the victim, a man in his 30s, was approached by two men before he was shot. The two men then ran from the area.
The shooting victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police said his injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.
Investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting. No arrests have been reported.
