Man accused of hiring hitman to kill ex-girlfriend and her husband

SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio man has been arrested and accused of trying to hire a hitman to kill his ex-girlfriend and her husband.

Police arrested Jimmy Wayne Cook, 53, on a charge of criminal solicitation of capital murder of multiple persons.

The alleged hitman told police about the arrangement in December.

Cook's ex told investigators he emailed her, telling her she would die but he would not be the person to kill her.
