SAN ANTONIO – Authorities arrested a man who they said robbed and shot a deaf man in the parking lot of a Church's Chicken on the North Side Saturday night.
Authorities were called to the fast food restaurant on the corner of Basse Road and West Avenue just after 6:30 p.m. for a reported shooting.

Police said the man robbed and shot the deaf man, then fled the scene. Authorities captured him nearby 20 minutes later.
The victim was taken to University Hospital.
Officials had trouble communicating with the deaf man and are looking for an interpreter.
