New Spurs mural on display at Travis Park

SAN ANTONIO – The ‘Paint the Town Silver and Black’ revealed its newest addition Thursday.

A new interactive piece is now on display at Travis Park and was created by San Antonio artists Nik Soupe and Shek Vega.

"The idea of interactive murals has been around for a little bit of time, and of course with the playoffs coming into play it was like ‘What can we do that is not just going to be just for the Spurs but also for fans and tourists?’” Soupe said. “And getting the chance to do this with the interactive mural project that is going on downtown so people could become part of the art."

The artists recently revealed a mural titled ‘Go Spurs Go’ at the AT&T Center at the launch of the playoffs.

Additional works will be revealed across San Antonio in the coming weeks.
