Football is back, and the fifth annual KSAT Pigskin Classic is ready to kick off the 2026 Texas high school football season in style!
The Steele Knights and Reagan Rattlers will meet in a highly anticipated season-opening showdown on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 7 p.m. at Jerry Comalander Stadium. Fans can purchase tickets through the NEISD ticket platform.

This matchup brings together two proud South Texas programs for an exciting night of football, school spirit and community pride. Come out and support the student-athletes, coaches, bands, cheer squads and dance teams who have worked hard all offseason to get ready for game day.
The excitement begins at 6:30 p.m. with KSAT12’s Gameday Pregame, hosted by Larry Ramirez and Mary Rominger, followed by kickoff at 7 p.m. Can’t make it to the stadium? You can watch the game live on KSAT12, KSAT+, the Big Game Coverage (BGC) app and KSAT.com.

Security and bag policies
To help everyone enter the stadium safely and efficiently, please review these guidelines before arriving:
- Metal detectors: Metal detectors will be used at all entry gates for ticket and pass holders.
- Clear bag policy: Bags must be made of clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and may not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”. A clear, one-gallon resealable storage bag is also permitted.
- Small clutches: Small, hand-sized clutch purses no larger than 5.5” x 8.5” are allowed.
- Prohibited bags: Backpacks, regular purses, camera bags, computer bags, briefcases and cinch bags are not permitted.
- Re-entry: Re-entry is not allowed once you leave the stadium unless you purchase a new ticket. Emergencies will be handled at the pass gate.
