Through her grief and determination, Mandadi’s mother, Alison Steele, fought to get a bill passed by the state legislature, creating what’s called a CLEAR Alert. Ex-boyfriend testifies about love triangle involving slain Trinity cheerleaderAfter Mandadi’s death, her parents created the CLEAR Alert, standing for Coordinated Law Enforcement Adult Rescue. On May 14, 2019, the state bill to legally create a CLEAR Alert, passed unanimously and went into effect September 1, 2019. "When this did pass into law, law enforcement did receive briefings and what not within their own agencies. Steele said right now, Texas is the only state that has the CLEAR Alert, but other states are trying to follow suit.

SAN ANTONIO – Friday Night Lights for Clemens and Steele high schools is more than just a football game. Texas is known for its tremendous talent with high school football and Steele and Clemens take rivalry to the next level. "If it wasn't for this football program, I probably wouldn't be where I am right now," said Quinton Mayberry, a senior defensive end at Clemens High School. "Friday night is a very special night for the Steele Knights," said Peter Sele, a offensive guard at Steele High School. BGC Preview 2018: O'Connor vs Steele
The Big Game in our Big Game Coverage to kick off the 2018 high school football season will feature two top 5 teams in 12’s top 12 and a rematch from last season that wasn’t decided until the final seconds. Last year, the game was played in week 3 of the high school football season, which left O’Connor 3-0 and Steele at 1-2. “You know, it’s going to be a great test for us for our first game of the year, “ said David Saenz, Steele head coach. “Without a doubt, I still get butterflies just like when I was playing 20 plus years ago," he said. Kick off Friday night is set for 7:30 p.m. and it should be standing room only.
