Brent Barry hired as team's VP of Basketball Operations

SAN ANTONIO – A former Spur who helped the franchise win two NBA championships is coming back to the organization in a front office role.

The Spurs announced Brent Barry joins the organization as vice president of basketball operations.

Barry played for the Spurs from 2004 to 2008 and was a part of the 2005 and 2007 championship teams.

Barry finished his playing career in 2009 after 14 seasons in the league. He has worked as an analyst for NBA TV and Turner Sports since 2010.

The addition of Barry was one of many the Spurs announced Monday.

Below is a list of the Spurs operations staff additions and promotions.

Adam Glessner – Director of Basketball Intelligence

Willis Hall – Video Coordinator

Cam Hodges – Player Development Assistant 

Cory Johnson – Team Equipment and Travel Manager

AJ Meyer – Coaching Analytics Coordinator

Massimo Simonetta – Sports Therapist

Paul West – Assistant Athletic Trainer and Recovery Coordinator
