The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has issued a boil water notice for dozens of residents in the Enchanted River Estates neighborhood in Bandera County.

The San Antonio Water System announced a boil water notice Sunday afternoon for 700 homes and businesses west of I-10.

The city of Shavano Park is warning its water utility customers to boil their water until further notice.

KERRVILLE, Texas – A boil water notice has been issued as the city of Kerrville experiences “unprecedented strain” on the water system, according to city officials. “Water pressure will be enhanced as the system is able to re-equalize as power is restored and properties with water breaks are turned off. As several water storage tanks have emptied over the day, and some water main breaks have occurred, the system pressure loss has triggered a boil water notice for water that is utilized for human consumption. When it is no longer necessary to boil the water, the public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking water or human consumption purposes, city officials said. Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the notice.

Due to a water outage, Monarch Utilities has issued a boil water notification Tuesday for Comal County residents who are tapped into the Oak Village North water system. “Bacteriological samples will be collected as soon as conditions improve, and the utility would cancel the Boil Water Notice at that time,” according to the news release. “This notice affects all 647 customers.”The public water system will issue a notification when the boil water notice is lifted.
