San Marcos police identify convenience store robbery suspect
SAN MARCOS, Texas โ San Marcos police have identified a robbery suspect who they say held up a convenience store last month. Officials say they already had the suspect in custody for a different charge. Miguel Perez, 21, is facing several charges, including aggravated robbery and resisting arrest. Investigators said tips from locals helped police identify Perez, who may be connected to a string of robberies in Travis County. Perez is being held in the Hays County Jail on a $321,000 bond.
33K+ cast ballots on first day of early voting in Bexar County
SAN ANTONIO โ UPDATE: The Bexar County Elections Office reported 33,111 voters cast their ballot on the first day of early voting on Tuesday compared to 34,020 who voted on the first day of early voting in 2018. (Original Story)A huge turnout on the first day of early voting led to Bexar County voters having to wait several hours to cast their ballots at some of the countyโs 48 early voting locations. Lines of voters wrapped around buildings early on in the day at numerous sites, even those who showed up early were not guaranteed a quick ballot when voting began at 8 a.m. Tuesday morning.
