SAN ANTONIO – A man is hospitalized after he was shot near the Pearl Brewery overnight, according to San Antonio police. Police said the man, 47, walked up to an off-duty police officer and asked for help. The man had a gunshot wound to his chest and claimed that two men walked up and attempted to rob him, according to officials. When he refused to give up his belongings to the suspects, he was shot in the chest, police said.
After 14-year absence, Pabst Brewing Co. moves its corporate headquarters back to San Antonio

Around 40 to 50 employees in the finance, accounting and legal departments remained here, however.The 176-year-old company originally moved its headquarters from Milwaukee to San Antonio in 1996 after shutting down its historic Pabst Brewery. SAN ANTONIO The Legacy is the newest development to pop up near San Antonios historic Pearl Brewery. Renderings show the concept designs for the 19-unit property which will be located at 1817 N. St. Marys Street. The all-townhome community is expected to feature a dog park and will be privately gated. Going up! Pearl Brewery truck to be placed by crane at Hotel Emma
SAN ANTONIO – Eyes will be to the sky on Monday, as Hotel Emma will be getting a new addition! The hotel will install a historic Pearl Brewery truck near its pool Monday, Feb. 17, at 9 a.m. The truck will be lifted up on a crane and will be placed by the pool on the hotel’s third floor. According to Hotel Emma, the truck was restored to serve as the pool’s bar and will offer drinks, refreshments and small bites for guests. Pearl Brewery to Host Third Annual Posada Procession This Week
In honor of the centuries-old tradition of Las Posadas, Pearl Brewery is hosting a Posada of its own on Wednesday.The ritual procession of the Posada reenacts the journey of Joseph and Mary as told in scripture. Community members are invited to join fellow pilgrims and process through the Pearl by candlelight, starting at Pearl Park. Culinaria Burgers & Beer 2015
SAN ANTONIO – Culinaria's Burgers & Beer event kicked off Sunday afternoon in a covered parking lot at the Pearl Brewery. After a morning of heavy rain and thunderstorms, a flash flood warning expired and the clouds parted just in time for hundreds to line up at the entrance. Chefs served up their own unique versions of sliders, hot dogs and treats while a live band provided the entertainment. Burgers & Beer was the last of the four main events of Festival Week. All proceeds will go to the Hope for Hospitality fund which raises money for culinary scholarships, Culinaria's Urban Farm project and Chefs 4 Chefs.
Look ahead: 2014 Tamales! Holiday Festival at the Pearl
'Tis almost the season for gingerbread, egg nog, fruit cake and, here in San Antonio, tamales! Tamales are traditionally made around Christmas and las Posadas. And it is around this time each year when the Pearl Brewery clears out its parking lots to welcome tamales vendors from across the San Antonio area for its annual Tamales! This year's festival is set for noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6 at the Pearl. Last year, crowds had to brave freezing temperatures to taste the tender, juicy tamale goodness.
