Castro chatted with the "Queer Eye" star about politics, HIV social safety and more in a recently released episode of his podcast "Our America with Julián Castro." At the beginning of the episode, Van Ness spoke about how he felt when diagnosed with HIV at 25. Van Ness gave details on the hoops he went through to receive medication and information on HIV and its treatment. Towards the end of the 35-minute episode, Castro asked Van Ness about his time on "Queer Eye" and the success its had. I got my healing," Van Ness said.

Bruley, the French bulldog who appeared on the Netflix hit "Queer Eye" has died at the age of 10, his owner announced on Instagram Thursday. She also included some sweet anecdotes about the pup, who she said appeared in 16 episodes of "Queer Eye" during the last year of his life. Karamo Brown is speaking out in support of his Queer Eye co-star! Brown also shared that the entire Queer Eye cast -- Bobby Berk, Tan France and Antoni Porowski -- knew about Van Ness' diagnosis "a long time before" he went public with the news. "It's something that we have to talk about because it doesn't just affect the LGBT community, it affects African Americans, it affects all of us, it affects kids," Brown continued. Queer Eye's Jonathan Van Ness bares it all
